Mass is celebrated in the basilica every day: Laudes at 7:30 a.m., the conventual Mass at 11:00 a.m., a midday service at 1:00 p.m. on weekdays (noon on Sundays and holidays), Vespers at 6:45 p.m., and — Saturdays and the eve of holy days only — an evening Mass at 7:30 p.m. Reserve a place online in advance for the 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. services; Saturday is the one day the Escolania does not sing. Attending Mass is free for everyone with a reservation, but general sightseeing entry to the basilica now requires a paid ticket for visitors who aren’t residents.

Do you need to reserve a place?
As of 2026, the abbey asks visitors to reserve a place in advance for the 11:00 a.m. conventual Mass and for the 1:00 p.m. midday service, through its own booking platform rather than turning up and queuing. Two situations, two different reservations:
- You’re attending as a worshipper. Reserve the specific service directly through the abbey’s own reservation system.

Etiquette during Mass
A few things to keep in mind if you’re in the basilica during a service:
- Silence inside the basilica once the service begins.
- Dress modestly — it is appreciated if you cover your shoulders and remove caps and hats, although this is not a strictly mandatory rule.
- Cameras are tolerated outside the moments of consecration, but avoid flash and don’t block other people’s view; during the Mass itself, it’s best to simply put the camera away.
- If you arrive after a service has started, wait at the back rather than walking across the nave.
